As the Director, Product Management - Property Strategic Research you will manage the research and/or product analysis function for the Personal Lines Property line of business. You will conducts complex and in-depth research and analysis to identify, develop and implement strategic initiatives to include product marketing strategy, pricing strategy, new product development, and underwriting / pricing process improvements. You will work with business unit and senior management to set benchmarks and evaluate performance of new products, programs and tools use your analytical talents to resolve thought-provoking business problems and bring value to our customers. You'll work in a collaborative and dynamic work environment where the challenges are on going.

Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership and direction to multiple managers each leading a team of highly specialized individual contributors including Actuaries, Statisticians, and Product Specialists.
• Works closely with SBU management and key stakeholders across the SBU to develop and coordinate the overall business strategy for new products, programs and tools.
• Directs in-depth internal and external (competitive) research and analysis to develop new products, programs and tools. Develops, evaluates and executes implementation strategy including service needs, operational, structural and systems requirements.
• Evaluates effectiveness of product enhancements and initiatives and communicates results to SBU senior management and key stakeholders.
• Develops underwriting and pricing strategies, sets benchmarks, and evaluates product performance.
• Works with regional senior management to oversee state reviews, influence local underwriting / pricing activity and support appropriate responses to local market conditions.
• Effectively represents Liberty Mutual's interests to external audiences including, but not limited to business partners, vendors, industry committees, regulators and investor relations.
• Proactively identifies and evaluates business opportunities to accelerate growth and improve profitability.

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical related field; FCAS or CPCU Designation or Advance Degree preferred.
• Ten years of progressively more responsible work experience required, to include management experience.
• Strong leadership, technical, analytical, written and oral communication skills required.
• Detailed knowledge of pricing and underwriting functions as well as in depth industry research and regulatory knowledge preferred.
