Tasks include evaluating and using latest commercial data mining tools, developing customized data mining solutions for a number of vertical markets, and participating in business discussions and customer presentations. Senior candidates will have an opportunity to lead a customer engagement team. Candidates will join a group of world-class experts in data warehousing, knowledge discovery and front-office automation. Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. in Databases, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related fields and 2-5 years of experience, or an M.S. with equivalent experience. Candidates should have expertise with different modeling approaches, including decision trees/rules, neural networks, or Bayesian belief networks. Candidates should also be familiar with statistical theory and have practical experience with databases. Candidates should be able to program in several languages in a Unix environment, and be able to quickly pick up new systems and languages. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team are required, along with the ability to adapt and enjoy the exciting atmosphere of a start-up company.
