Job Description:

Build and maintain knowledge solutions to support Drug Discovery and 
Drug Development groups; create applications to categorize both 
published and proprietary information to deliver focused, relevant 
information to client groups; aid in development of knowledge domains 
across many therapeutic areas; work with informatics, scientific and 
business personnel in multidisciplinary teams. Experience with UNIX 
tools and scripting languages including Perl, AWK, and shell. Web 
application development is strongly desired. Experience with Verity 
syntax and development tools strongly desired. Knowledge of text 
analysis and extraction, with  particular reference to scientific and 
patent texts. Knowledge of vocabulary control systems, thesauri and 
taxonomies, strongly desired. Experience searching online databases a 
plus. A BS, MS, MD or Ph.D. in either Chemistry or Life Science with 
extensive computer experience, or Computer Science or Linguistics with 
natural science background. Excellent communication skills required.
