Access to this site is by invitation only (consider yourself invited!) and therefore everyone needs their own password to have access to the private parts of the site. The private pages contain course material and other writings/information that people do not want to make available to the public. If you are interested in participating, contact the web master, Lise, lf@lri.fr, and she will give you all the necessary information. This site is made up of a set of Data Mining courses, ones that have been contributed by the members of this site. You are not obliged to place your courses at the disposal of the others, but know that the site is password protected, and so your work shouldn't be brutally stolen ... although it is in a sense the goal of the site, to steal from one another! Could we agree among ourselves on a rule of deontology that says "as soon as a loan begins to be close to a page, it is then necessary to mention the author of the so-called page" ? These courses will most likely be in English, but courses in other languages are certainly acceptable: some French courses are already on the site. Discussions about these non English courses will however have to take place in English. The goal of the site is that you consult your colleagues' courses and that you criticize, that you ask questions and so on, so that discussions can begin on some theme of teaching KDD. These discussions will take place on an email discussion list, again if you are interested in joining the list, contact Lise. These discussions will then be edited and then added in hypertext to the original text. This is simply a proposition, that will improve with time and your suggestions... make them!
