AllAdvantage.com is rapidly growing its competency in knowledge discovery
applied to Internet advertising and marketing. We are looking for a data
mining expert to join our team of business and technology leaders. Your
role will be to perform research and development on one of the most unique
data sets ever collected, to build a state of the art user profiling and
personalization engine.

--- Data Mining Engineer:

Your duties will include:
- Defining research strategy and building research team;
- Owning the research and development space for our data
  mining systems;
- Researching state of the art web profiling and personalization;
- Participating in industry forums as an AllAdvantage.com speaker;
- Working with data warehouse manager and CTO to set technical strategy;
- Presentation of data mining concepts and goals to marketing and business
  development teams.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills:
- Technical understanding of Internet technologies (HTTP, CGI, Java, etc.);
- Masters / PhD in computer science / applied mathematics / statistics;
- Strong grasp of scalability issues in designing data mining systems;
- Experience with large data warehousing systems;
- Fluent in C, C++, Perl, Unix, Oracle PL/SQL;
- Experience with one or more data mining tools;
- Ability to prototype ideas rapidly;
- Understanding of business issues in data mining design and deployment;
- Excellent communicator and writer;
- Understanding of consumer marketing, behavioral modeling, and market
  segmentation.

--- DataWarehouse Engineer
Your responsibilities will include the implementation of a data warehouse
environment to suit the needs of the business. This requires a thorough
understanding of the business and close collaboration with various business
units. The data warehouse engineer will report to the senior data warehouse
manager and work closely with the data warehouse architect and CTO.

You will have the following skills and experience:

- At least a BS in Computer Science or a related technical field. Minimum 3
  years experience;
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in data warehousing, experience with large
  data warehouses (over 750GB);
- Strong core technical competency in database and client/server
  technologies;
- Technical understanding of Internet technologies (HTTP, CGI, Java, etc.);
- In-depth architectural and technical knowledge, familiarity with the
  overall data warehouse life cycle;
- In depth knowledge of Oracle and PL/SQL;
- General knowledge of C, Perl and Sun Solaris.
