Position is at a Large Consumer Bank based in Southeastern U.S. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Chief Marketing Scientist will be part of Bank's Enterprise Information Management division and will report to SVP of the Enterprise Knowledge Group. This position will bear principal responsibility for the application of emerging technologies to the development of knowledge- based marketing, customer relationship management, and strategic research initiatives across the enterprise. As such, the CMS will be uniquely positioned to drive revenue growth in key customer segments through the development of strategic, knowledge-based enterprise initiatives. This position will be called upon to both a) regularly advise senior management on ways to achieve competitive advantage through the strategic introduction of emerging technologies, and b) simultaneously lead several project teams charged with the development and creation of revenue generating, information- driven, and knowledge-based marketing and product development initiatives. Requirements Must have the ability to educate senior management and diverse client areas on the effective use of emerging e-commerce and database technologies and their sophisticated capabilities in providing competitive advantage. Significant experience (7-10+) years in a sophisticated technology oriented environment with demonstrated abilities in database mining, information management, operations research, data analysis and interpretation. Advanced degree in business, information technology, e-commerce, mathematics, information-based marketing, or related field. In depth knowledge and experience in use and interpretation of advanced data sources, specialized data suppliers, information analysis, and predictive modeling techniques.
