Job Description and Duties:

The U.S. Director of Professional and Technical Services will learn and
become expert in KXEN product functionality and architecture.

He/she will be expected to directly support pre and post sales
activities, build and manage the U.S. technical support resource
organization and take on a leadership role within the team.

The candidate will lead integration projects with OEM, System
Integrators and other strategic partners and will be expected to
specify recommended product enhancements and modifications to Research
and Development.

Required Qualifications (Experience/Skills):

The ideal candidate must have a strong combination of analytical and
programming skills, a broad knowledge of statistics, mathematics,
computer science (especially distributed programming such as
CORBA/DCOM, and object oriented design) and operations research.
Knowledge of Vladimir Vapnik's theory is a big plus.

The ideal candidate will have had experience with data mining as a
senior analytics engineer and programmer in a vendor environment. This
would include having working knowledge in applying predictive
modeling techniques into operations for at least five years.

In addition, the candidate will have had hands on experience with
applications written in C++ language for Windows NT and UNIX. Good SQL
and ODBC knowledge is required.

Preferred Qualifications (Experience/Skills):

JAVA and Visual Basic applications experience is highly desired since
some integration will be done in these languages.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Supply Chain Management (SCM)
and Computer/Telecommunications Network Management (NWM) is desirable.

Other skills that would be utilized are:
-  Microsoft Visual Studio, C++ and V Basic
-  GNU development tools (g++, cvs, gnats)
-  ODBC and fundamental DBA skills for hands on development

Other:

The Director of Professional and Technical Services will work out of
the San Francisco Bay Area West Coast office and will report directly
to the President of U.S. Operations.
