In July 1999, Microsoft hosted the first OLE DB for Data Mining Design Preview in Redmond Washington. Since the Design Preview, we have received many suggestions on the design of the OLE DB for Data Mining specification. Our Data Mining team has been working hard with many of you to integrate interesting new concepts, and to firm up existing ideas in the document.

The public beta version of the specification is available under www.microsoft.com/data/oledb. We encourage you to download the specification and we will value and appreciate any feedback or suggestions you might have. We encourage any discussions about the technical contents of the specification. Please send your comments to oledbdm@microsoft.com. We will review all comments, and consider them accordingly before releasing the final version in the near future.
