Amazon.com's Data Mining Group seeks a data mining architect with an
intimate knowledge of current data mining research and leading edge
practice to support a wide variety of challenging initiatives
throughout our company.

* The ideal candidate must have expertise in one or more of the
following areas (familiarity with all): data mining algorithms, text
mining, web mining, parallel and distributed computing.

* Proven ability to architect production data mining systems combining
research literature, original work, and publicly available or
commercially available data mining toolkits.

* Experience in SQL, C/C++, RDBMS, data transformation, statistics, or
mixed model methodologies is a plus.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with small
teams of engineers to design, prototype, implement and deploy scalable
high-performance data mining systems. A graduate degree in statistics,
data mining or database technologies is strongly preferred.
