The analyst should have strong project management skills, attention to details, self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills and eager to work with the business community, specifically able to provide business-level descriptions of the mined results. * Experience with a variety of data mining tool suites such as SGI's Mine Set, Clementine, Datasage/Vignette NetCustomer, SAS and SAS Enterprise Miner, IBM Intelligent Miner, Mathsoft's S-Plus, Accrue, or SPSS Neural Connections is strongly preferred. * Need to have a desire to experiment with new data mining algorithms and techniques to discover patterns in large volumes of data. * Knowledge of models for customer scoring, customer attrition, customer lifetime value, market basket analysis, trend analysis, etc... are strong plusses. * Experience with Oracle, SQL and RDBMS Data Models is a strong benefit. * Focus on satisfaction of both external and internal customers, ability to work as part of a dynamic and highly visible team, and experience working with business professionals and systems to produce actionable results is required. * An undergraduate degree in a strongly quantitative field and minimum of two years experience deploying solutions for e-commerce, retail, marketing, finance, or supply-chain is strongly preferred.
