Director of Statistics; Data Mining and Tracking

Job Description:

The Director of Statistics will lead, manage and direct our data mining team. Design and implement a reporting data mining application in conjunction with the data mining team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and oversee the development of a scaleable statistics and reporting application from the ground up
• Hire and manage a team of Java application programmers
• Partner with our Marketing, Business Development and Product Teams to define the reporting system
• Direct engineers and resources to ensure deadlines are met

Requirements:

• 2+ years of data mining experience working with a large website
• Understanding of click stream and tracking large web user bases
• 1+ years Java programming and development of scaleable web applications in Java
• 2+ years experience with SQL and Oracle
• 3+ years of technical team leadership experience with proven abilities in estimating and managing projects required
• Strong background in internet technology and software development

• An understanding of the issues involved in collecting, storing, and managing large scale data sets

• Strong communication skills
• Solid understanding of the impact of statistics and reporting on business decisions

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience required
