• Central relational database management systems (RDBMS) previously integrated with Oracle and Sybase Enterprise Servers

Job Description:

Responsible for day to day direction and oversight of technical project team implementing data mining/knowledge discovery solutions for financial services customers. Includes tracking project schedule, coordinating activities of database, software development, test, CM, documentation, data mining and integration/installation teams to meet project schedule. Work with Project manager to define and execute complex project plans, identify and resolve technical problems, task project team members, oversee implementation and assure quality of standard software and systems engineering processes throughout the project lifecycle. Liaison with customer technical teams.

Required Skills:

5+ years leading software development project teams responsible for implementing complex solutions. Demonstrated planning, execution, project tracking and control, and leadership experience. Excellent client management, team building and communication skills. Strong understanding of standard software development lifecycle practices/principles.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with data mining, data warehousing, artificial intelligence/pattern recognition techniques, client/server and web-based architecture and design.
• Familiarity with C++, Java. Oracle or Sybase.
• Understanding of object-oriented methodologies.
• Experience defining and implementing lifecycle processes in growing organizations.
• Financial services or fraud detection experience a plus.
• Commercial consulting experience desired.
• Familiarity with Rational Unified Process (RUP) desired.
