We have openings for senior statistical analysts / data mining
specialists in our Raleigh, NC and San Diego, CA offices.  The people
in this position will be part of NCR's new Ceres CRM Division. This

The individuals hired will be responsible for doing advanced analysis
and modeling projects for NCR customers. The position requires a high
level of technical expertise and the ability to turn unstructured
business questions into structured analytical solutions. In this
position you will also be expected to provide "thought
leadership" to customers - you will derive meaningful relationships
from the data, and also identify and recommend profitable business
opportunities based on analyses.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  * Ph.D.degree in applied statistics, marketing research, economics,
  AI or other quantitative area. A strong business background with a
  very strong analytical background may substitute for the Ph.D.

  * Experience solving analytical problems in a business environment
  * Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  * Good knowledge of database technology
  * Excellent oral and written communication skills
