	Expedia.com seeks visionary and creative software engineers
who are driven to satisfy customers by implementing data mining,
decision support, and decision automation system solutions. The
perfect candidate will have excellent design, coding, and
problem-solving skills; a demonstrated ability to work both
independently and in an aggressive, small team environment; and a
strong desire and the enthusiasm to succeed at the frontier of
e-commerce.  The ideal candidate will lead and/or participate in all
phases of software development, including systems analysis and design,
development of custom applications, integration of third-party tools,
and interfacing to large-scale data warehouses. Knowledge and
experience with data mining algorithms (such as association rules,
clustering, classification) or experience with the care and feeding of
analytic applications is a strong plus. Proficiency with SQL Server,
Windows NT, and C/C++ are essential to this position. Experience with
Perl, and deploying high-performance and scalable solutions for
e-commerce will be a strong plus, as are excellent verbal and written
communication skills. A B.S. in computer science or equivalent and 2
years of related experience is also required.
