Let's travel back to a time when flannels dominated wardrobes, Starbucks injected the country with caffeine, and the Internet went mainstream. A warm, fuzzy feeling overtook the country in 1996 with the signing of the Telecommunications Act. We all subscribed to the notion that the Internet would make life easier and afford us more free time. (Reminiscent sigh).
