Subject: KDD-2001 Call For Industrial Track Papers, abstract deadline: Mar 2

The industrial track of KDD-2001 provides a unique forum for practitioners to present significant innovations in new data mining products and/or their evaluation. Examples of contributions that are solicited include:

  • Technical details of novel industrial products or services,
  • Experience in deployment of a technology or commercial product in industrial applications, and
  • Comparative study of industrial products and benchmarking.
Note that traditional experimental research papers should not be submitted to the applications track. If submitted, such papers may be rejected without any reviewing at the discretion of the industrial track chairs. Prospective authors should review the FAQ (www.acm.org/sigkdd/kdd2001/IT/FAQ.html) to determine if the paper is appropriate for the industrial track. In addition to solicited papers, the industrial track will also feature presentations invited by the industrial track committee.
