SRA's Data Mining Center currently has requirements to support our IRS Client in Oxon Hill, MD. If you posses the following skills we would like to hear from you. Project Overview for IRS: Implement advanced data mining to detect fraud in Federal tax returns. SRA has completed a successful proof-of-concept. The IRS wants to take this initial work to the next level. The goal of this effort is to refine the proof-of-concept scoring model built for electronic filed returns, validate the model, develop a model for paper returns using the same techniques, and incorporate the scoring model into the production system. The work is on site at Oxon Hill. Multi year project awarded.

The candidate will use proficiency in data mining, database management, and data preparation tools to develop and extend fraud detection models. Candidte will also provide technical leadership to the rest of the team, which includes another data miner, a developer, and part time DBA and PM.

Required: Bachelors in CS, Math, Statistics, or other technical field. Any data mining tool (SPSS Clementine, IBM Intelligent Miner, SAS Enterprise Miner), SQL. Candidates must have applied data mining tools to data. Candidate should have 8 years of general IT experience, 4 of which are related to data analysis.

Ideal candidate will have applied statistical packages, database management tools, data warehouse tools, or data mining tools to large databases to model, predict, explain, or otherwise "anayze" data. Candidate must be able to pass an IRS security clearance. A couple of trips to Austin Texas may be required.
