HANDS ON DATA MINING WITH DECISION TREES (CART 4.0)

The two-day introductory decision tree course covers all aspects of data mining including importing data, preparing data for modeling, using data mining tools for data problem detection, defining your modeling objectives, setting up, running, and evaluating models, and, finally, deploying results. Real world examples include response models, risk models, fraud detection, market segmentation, click stream data analysis and CRM. By the end of the two days, you can expect to have a clear understanding of how to use this powerful technology.

HANDS ON PREDICTIVE MODELING WITH AUTOMATED REGRESSION TOOLS (MARS 2.0)

The one-day introduction to "predictive modeling with automated regression tools" covers response modeling, rare event detection, and predicting quantities such as spending, balance accumulation, and waiting times. The course covers setting up both linear and logistic regression models using the fully automated MARS(tm) package. Examples illustrate how to interpret and assess models and how to improve results by modifying control options. Real world examples are drawn from banking, insurance, engineering, and all phases of CRM. This course will provide you with a better understanding of the modeling process and access to new tools to radically accelerate the model development process.
