Senior Analyst, World Wide Data Mining #02-007268

Amazon.com is looking for a smart, innovative, enthusiastic, and business-focused senior analyst to join our worldwide data mining team. Amazon.com offers a world-class data mining environment, where your analytic insights will drive key strategic business decisions. Amazon.com data miners partner with Marketing, Merchandising, Business Development and IT to identify and prioritize research questions, formulate study designs and develop recommendations. We collaborate closely with other analytic teams (including Market Research, Finance, and Web Lab) to provide the broadest possible customer insights. And we use state-of-the art methodologies to provide the best possible analysis for our decision makers.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in once or more of the following: multivariate time series analysis, experimental design and analysis, clustering, neural networks, and will have 3 to 5 years experience in an analytic role building custom reports and predictive models and will have expert-level SQL skills. The candidate's technical skills will be matched by outstanding written and oral communications skills, and the ability to develop actionable insights from analysis.

This position requires an MS in Statistics, econometrics, or a related field, and 3+ years experience with SQL. Compensation includes stock options and relocation if necessary.
