The Research Director will manage the Center's Statisticians and Analysts with responsibilities including:

  • Oversight of study design and execution
  • Development and implementation of new modeling and prediction methodologies
  • Lead interdepartmental interactions on studies.
  • Participate in Center strategy and business development.
  • Development and oversight of strong processes and QC procedures
  • Staff development, including Center for Health Metrics (CHM) training and education programs

Successful candidate must have the following minimum requirements:

  • Advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, biostatistics, or computer sciences
  • Significant management experience
  • Be results and action-oriented and be able to deliver quality work on time according to specifications
  • Have at least 3 years experience in running a research area
  • Be capable of working in a results-oriented environment
  • Demonstrate an understanding of process development
  • Demonstrate a proven practice of project management discipline
  • Have a graduate degree in quantitative discipline and be able to demonstrate a senior level competency in appropriate modeling methodologies
  • Be able to demonstrate a high-level understanding of statistical techniques and software
  • Have excellent communication skills, which includes the ability to clarify requirements so that deliverables are well defined
  • Have a proven ability to defend solutions by providing technical arguments, present solutions in a non-technical format, and provide business interpretation of provided analytics
