July 30, 2002. AKS-Labs has released v 1.7 of QuickSearcher a Windows 98/95/XP/2000/ME/NT -powerful file search tool that lets preview search results before deciding whether to open the files. It is intelligent file search solution for home and business.

QuickSearcher has an ability to preview search results. It highlights the found word and the text near found position. QuickSearcher's preview helps to decide whether you want to open file or it is just a word coincidence and you need the next file from search result. Preview function is also helpful when replacing text in files. QuickSearcher lets to choose if you want to replace that very word or skip it.

QuickSearcher lets save favorite search settings. It is one of the best parts of it's ability. For example, I have text documents on my Desktop and in "My Documents" folder. With QuickSearcher I can create a search favorite with name "My Docs", by specifying search paths of desktop and "my documents" folder and files types (files extensions - doc, txt, pdf).
