This release reflects the continuing commitment of ANGOSS to delivering affordable market leading data mining analytical tools based on open, industry standard Microsoft and Internet technologies that are easy to learn, enjoyable to use, deliver exceptional performance, and provide advanced features that empower our users to tackle the most demanding modeling tasks.

Upgrade Availability Information

KnowledgeSTUDIO 4.0 and KnowledgeSERVER 4.0 are being provided as free upgrades to current KnowledgeSTUDIO 3.X users.

New Features and Key Enhancements

KnowledgeSTUDIO 4.0 offers our users continuing performance improvements, enhancements to current features in cluster detection, decision tree, neural network, linear and logistic regression modules, and the addition of several significant enhancements, including the following:

a.. Time Series Analysis (Time Series Charts and ARIMA and Exponential Smoothing algorithms)

b.. Most Appropriate Model (for automated testing and selection of the best data mining model using user defined classifier functions)

c.. A Covariance Matrix enabling users to quickly assess all the correlations in their data sets.

d.. Manual and automatic pruning.

e.. Simplified project organization.

f.. Simplified validation and scoring from directly within the Decision Tree view.

g.. Additional visualization enhancements, including automatic and visual pruning, improved colors and controls

h.. Windows XP support

i.. Further integration with SQL Server 2000, Microsoft's market leading database platform, with a compliant data mining engine based on the OLEDB DM and XML for Analysis industry standards.
