PITTSBURGH -- MAYA Viz today announced the release of CoMotion 2.2, the latest version of its collaboration and visualization software.

CoMotion 2.2 includes a significantly expanded productivity package for visualization creation, an enhanced workspace and XML tools. With the new tools, even non-Java developers are able to quickly and easily connect to diverse data sources and set up visualizations tailored to individual users. The software's backwards compatibility means clients using earlier versions can migrate seamlessly to the latest version.

Clients use CoMotion software to more quickly identify, understand and act on problems and opportunities. Via CoMotion, users rapidly retrieve data from many different sources, drill into the details of individual data elements, view different configurations, aspects and interpretations of the data, and collaborate with others to analyze the information and decide on a course of action.

The software is currently being used in supply chain automation, financial analysis and reporting, health care and medical data visualization, logistics and transportation.
