In the past few years, the ACM SIGKDD conference has established itself as the premier international conference on knowledge discovery and data mining. To continue with this tradition, the ninth ACM SIGKDD conference will provide a forum for academic researchers and industry and government practitioners to share their research and experience, and to inform government sponsors and users about the state of KDD research and applications. It will feature keynote presentations, oral paper presentations, poster presentations, workshops, tutorials, and panels, as well as the KDD Cup competition. KDD-2003 will be collocated with ICML-2003, the Twentieth International Conference on Machine Learning, and COLT-2003, the Sixteenth Annual Conference on Computational Learning Theory.
