FeaturesFrom: Charu AggarwalDate: 12 Feb 2003 Subject: KDD call for Workshop Proposals, deadline March 7, 2003 The KDD-2003 organizing committee invites proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with the conference. The purpose of these workshops is to provide participants with the opportunity to discuss novel research ideas on emerging topics in the data-mining community. A varied and topical set of workshops is essential to making the KDD 2003 conference an exciting experience. We encourage submission of proposals in emerging areas of research, but well chosen topics in more traditional areas are also of interest. The organizers of approved workshops are expected to define the workshop's focus, gather and review submissions, and decide upon final program content. They are also required to put together an informal set of workshop proceedings which will be distributed with the registration materials at the conference. They may choose to form organizing or program committees for assistance in these tasks. IMPORTANT DATES:
Workshop proposals due: March 7, 2003
PROPOSAL DETAILS Proposals should be no more than four pages in length, and should include the following:
Workshop proposals should be sent by e-mail to the Workshops Chair, Charu C. Aggarwal (charu@us.ibm.com), by the submission deadline of March 7, 2003. All submissions must use PDF or ASCII format.
