Valen Technologies is seeking an entrepreneurial and technically savvy candidate that would assume the primary responsibility for developing mathematical algorithms. The candidate for this position must have:

• Strong math background with a specific emphasis on statistics. Candidate must be able to research mathematical concepts and translate mathematical formulations into working code.
• A passion for one or more of the following computational learning / soft computing paradigms: Neural Networks, Bayesian Networks, Support Vector Machines, Evolutionary Computation, Cellular Automata, Decision Trees, or Fuzzy Logic.
• Strong Java development skills with specific emphasis on mathematical algorithm development. Proven ability to write tight, fast, and reliable algorithms.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent degree required. MS or PHD a plus.
