SPSS Inc. Offers Multiple Deployment Options for Web Analytics Solutions

Now available in ASP, MSP and service bureau models, Predictive Web Analytics enables companies to outsource Web channel analysis

CHICAGO, November 5, 2003 - SPSS Inc. (Nasdaq: SPSS), a global provider of predictive analytics software and solutions, today announced that its enterprise Web analytics solutions are now available in three new deployment models: application service provider (ASP), managed service provider (MSP) and service bureau, in addition to its traditional licensed model. Building on SPSS Inc.'s experience in supporting an ASP model for market research, these flexible deployment options were developed to meet customer demands for outsourced versions of the company's sophisticated Web analytics offerings, including NetGenesis 6.0 and Predictive Web Analytics.

NetGenesis enables organizations to make better business decisions regarding their Web channel by accurately measuring the effectiveness of content, online transactions and marketing campaigns. Predictive Web Analytics integrates NetGenesis with the predictive modeling capabilities of SPSS Inc.'s ClementineŽ data mining workbench, providing both historical and predictive insights, and driving actions that maximize customer value and increase returns from Web investments.

The three deployment models enable customers to migrate from one solution to another as their needs evolve. The models provide a thin-client, role-based reporting structure that includes both an interface for business users and ad hoc reporting for analysts to use in creating reports and exploring the data. Data collection is actively supported through page tagging, as well as through other common collection methods.
