POSITION DESCRIPTION

As Vice President in Marketing Analytics you will support various areas of the credit card marketing organization through the design, execution and delivery of analytic methodologies and results to help steer the marketing decision process. You will work closely with a wide range of internal groups including Partnership Marketing, New Account Acquisition, and Customer Management & Membership Products.

Expected contribution at the Vice President level includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Recommends changes to portfolio strategies for acquiring and managing customers which have large impact on company success. Develops decision-making guidelines and problem-solving techniques. Changes policies which affect Marketing Analytics.
  • Negotiates with and persuades senior management and others across departments; Crafts and delivers analytic results and recommendations to Vice Chairmen, CEO and the Board; Effectively resolves conflict surrounding controversial findings, recommendations or goals. Handles sensitive information effectively. Represents the company in unique contract negotiations with external parties.
  • Provides strategic leadership and general direction to managers and staff. Recognizes and develops talent as a key element of executing business plans; Serves as role model for business dedication, ethics, integrity and cross-functional teamwork. Develops and implements new and innovative work processes and methodologies in the spirit of continuous improvement.
  • Applies understanding of the company's business strategies, competitive environment and industry trends to proactively anticipate business needs and develop group objectives and strategies
QUALIFICATIONS

The qualified candidate will have 7+ years of experience with several years management responsibility for process management, motivating others, developing direct reports, dealing with ambiguity, and innovation management. A Bachelor degree is required and graduate education is preferred. This individual will have excellent analytic capabilities as well as strong written and oral communication skills. Credit card industry experience is required.
