In this integral role this position develops and implements strategic and tactical customer models and scores to help support customer relationship management initiatives and grow the business. This position is responsible for in-depth analysis of customer and financial data, segmentation, predictive modeling, forecasting, and campaign targeting using data mining and statistical analysis tools and techniques. Through deriving meaning from raw data, this position is key in building customer profiles, identifying successful marketing programs, identifying cross selling opportunities, and maintaining customer loyalty. This position is involved in all steps of the analysis process from defining business needs, data preparation, model development, presenting results, and deployment of successful models.

A key element of this role involves working with the wider marketing organization to ensure the effective communication and application of models and scores. The position must be able to work with sales and marketing to translate hypotheses into database queries, analyze, and transform results into actionable programs. This position is also responsible for working with the product managers to ensure they have timely and accurate product forecasts.

The ability to structure problems, gather and interpret data and draw conclusions is critical. This individual must be able to write business presentations and communicate ideas and findings.

This position requires experience with regression analysis and relational databases (preferably Oracle), minimum 2 years experience in an analytics role. It also requires superior problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Experience with SPSS, Clementine, or other statistical analysis programs are preferred. Familiarity with the application of modeling in a business-to-business marketing environment would be an advantage.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree is required -- degree emphasis in finance/accounting or degree emphasis in mathematics/ marketing sciences/business/related field with finance industry experience is preferred
