22 CONFERENCE PRESENTATIONS FROM CART DATA MINING 2004

Salford Systems hosted its first annual data mining conference focused on CART(R), MARS(R), TreeNet(tm) and RandomForests(tm) in San Francisco, March 22-24. The conference hosted 25 papers focused on the use and application of CART, MARS, TreeNet and RandomForests drawn from Banking, Insurance, Financial Markets Modeling, Market Research, Drug Discovery, Ecology, Clinical Medicine, Proteomics, Genetics, Dental Research and Epidemiology. Twenty-two of the presentations are available via CD ROM at a cost of $99/commercial, $50/academic (email: tutorial@salford-systems.com). Evaluation versions of the software used in these papers, as well as other papers, are available from http://www.salford-systems.com

Registrants came from North America, Europe, and Asia, and the success of the conference has prompted us to plan similar sessions in March 2005 in New York and April 2005 in Barcelona.
