Yahoo!'s Strategic Data Solutions group is looking for a talented, highly motivated and experienced engineering manager to lead a small team of developers building the next generation of Yahoo!'s analytical data tools. You will work closely with Product Management and Data Analysts to develop applications to access and analyze data from one of the world's largest data warehouses.

In this position, you will be required to work across many different groups for system integration. We are looking for you to be creative when developing solutions, and hands on/detail-oriented when executing. You should be able to make significant contribution to all aspects of the system, from infrastructure, architecture design, to coding, to testing and release. A proven track record delivering quality products on time is required.

Requirements:

• 7-9 years of relevant web application or multi-tier system software engineering experience
• 3-5 years experience managing teams of 3-5 developers Solid background in programming using C/C++, SQL, and ready to learn and apply new technologies
• Experience with UNIX and web technologies (e.g apache, HTTP, HTML, PHP, XML, JavaScript) is essential
• Solid communication skills with both technical and non-technical people are a must
• Experience with scripting languages e.g shell, perl and internet
• BS/MS in Computer Science
