Inductis, a global management consulting and analytics firm achieved the most accurate predictive model in the high profile KDD Cup data mining competition for 2004. The Inductis team of modelers leveraged Salford Systems' TreeNet(TM) software to outperform 63 other teams from industry and academia.

The key people at Inductis and Salford Systems have collaborated in a variety of ways since 1996, when they first started to combine CART(R) and MARS(R) software with modeling and business expertise to solve complex problems for major financial institutions. In the KDD Cup 2004, Inductis developed its models independently. While Inductis used several different modeling techniques to learn about the dataset and to develop alternate predictive models, the winning entry was developed primarily using TreeNet.
