Yahoo!Search&Marketplace Analytics and Optimization

As a member of Yahoo!'s Search&Marketplace analytics and optimization team, you will be responsible for providing research and comprehensive data analysis to a number of parties within our business unit. You will play a critical role in driving business, product and marketing strategies by providing insights obtained through analysis of online results from various Yahoo! data sources, and from test results generated from a sample of Yahoo!'s users. Your responsibilities will include identifying key metrics, validating the correctness of metrics, managing the testing process, analyzing test results, and regular report writing to summarize tests and make objective recommendations.

The candidate needs to demonstrate ability to execute successfully in all aspects of engagements with different members of our business unit, including, analysis methodology development, analysis execution, strategic recommendations development, and clear presentation of findings. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.

The candidate needs to have strong strategic problem solving skills, with the ability to help our product/marketing/engineering/business groups to understand and prioritize opportunities.

The Ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree in CS/EE with a minimum of 2 years experience as a data analyst, or a bachelors degrees in CS/EE with a Masters degree in Operations Research and System Modeling (e.g. Management Science & Engineering, or Business Management with emphasis on analytics). Analysis skills including statistical analysis, quantitative analysis and stats testing are required.

Technical skills such as SPSS, SQL, UNIX shell, Perl, Regular Expressions, Microsoft Access, Excel VBA Macros, Microstrategy, and HTML are a strong plus.
