Yahoo! data group is looking for a senior engineer to be part of the newly formed business intelligence reporting team to design, implement, test, and maintain the analytical data mart and reporting systems for Yahoo. The system will serve as a foundation for operational/strategic decision making.

A successful canadiate will be responsible for architecting of the data mart ETL infrastructure. For data acquisition/analysis/design, logical/physical modeling, database design, performance tuning, and reports set up. Other responsibilities include working with team members to resolve reporting issuss, perform data quality validation, and write design, implementation, testing, operation documents.

A successful candidate should have:

• 5 plus years experience in ETL implementation using
• 5 plus years IT development experience in building applications that utilize a RDBMS such as Oracle in client/Server environment
• 3 plus years experience in data modeling and data warehousing, familiar with relational and dimensional modeling techniques
• 5 plus years experience in using c/c++
• Proven successful experience with large scale system implementation, especially in large database system design and tuning.
• MicroStrategy, DataStage experience a plus
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
