By using the enhanced DB Extract version, analysts can build modeling datasets quickly and efficiently in the following ways:

• Selection and Aggregation - Collects multiple records per prospect from a transactional system and combines them into a single data point, getting them ready for data mining analysis
• Flattening - Takes multiple records of data per customer (such as individual transactions) and transforms them into multiple columns of data (such as a monthly spend)
• Filtering - Excludes customers or data based upon advanced filtering rules
• Merging - Defines how the data selected from many tables are combined to create one final output dataset
