Duties:
Develops spec's for converting information from customers' files into formats suitable for analysis; performs exploratory data analysis; uses Austin Logistics' proprietary statistical programs and SAS tools to help identify and evaluate the relationships between data fields and the frequency of specific conditions; writes SAS code for identifying sampling groups; develops ad-hoc reports from SAS datasets;

Learns, uses, and continues to perfect knowledge of statistical tools and programs; learns: the data fields relevant to various kinds of portfolios and about methods used by customers to store and retrieve data; customers' business and how Austin Logistics can help them achieve their business goals;

Examines output for reasonableness and for conformance with specifications and expectations; investigates inconsistencies; looks for possible problems with data or with processing; takes action to resolve problems to refer to more senior members of the group;

Builds a scoring algorithm; produces structured specifications instructing programmers to apply various statistical procedures to the data; analyzes output and determines the next action;

Composes clear technical reports suitable for delivery to customers' management; represents data in graphs, charts, tables, and/or histograms;

Analyze data processing output to identify patterns, relationships, and/or problems;

Uses appropriate tools and techniques to analyze a variety of data sources;

Use object oriented programming to prepare databases for statistical analysis

Education/Experience:

Two years experience with SAS programming

Graduation from college with major work in statistics, mathematics and/or operations research.

Government security clearance highly preferred.

Travel required.
