We have several positions available for Project Connection Machine, an R&D effort to apply techniques of AI and Knowledge Management to locate experts and expertise within a global, 120,000-employee company.

Knowledge Management Research Programmer

Responsibilities:

• Implement user interface, application workflow, question tracking system and administrative dashboard for web-based expertise locator application. Link application workflow to Lotus Notes.
• Support the implementation of an unobtrusive and maintainable acquisition and update method for user profiles in application domain.
• Implement methods to generate initial user profiles from data existing in various business databases and user input.
• Assist in the development of maintainable knowledge representation schemes for application area.
• Assist in the development of similarity metrics for application area.

• BS/MS CS or similar, extensive experience in web application development in a J2EE environment required (BEA Weblogic / Apache Tomcat, Oracle, Solaris and Windows).
• Experience in Lotus Notes development highly desired.
• Experience in user adaptive knowledge management system development, knowledge representation, and data mining preferred.
