Position Description
ClassicVacations.com is a wholly owned subsidiary of Expedia Inc and
is one of the premier sellers of luxury travel in the world. We are
currently seeking a smart, detail-oriented Online Marketing
Analyst. This individual will play a critical role in turning
information into insightful recommendations that enhance our ability
to efficiently attract, acquire, and retain customers. The Online
Marketing Analyst will work across multiple areas including the web
site (www.classicvacations.com), SEM (search engine marketing), SEO
(search engine optimization), e-mail marketing, and online
partnerships and test campaigns. This individual's primary day-to-day
responsibility will be to work with various reporting tools (including
Omniture's SiteCatalyst) and data sources to evaluate, optimize, plan,
and forecast online marketing performance.
Responsibilities Include
- Build and maintain online marketing forecasts and performance reports
- Analyze web site user behavior and provide recommendations to optimize conversions
- Analyze online marketing programs and provide recommendations to optimize performance
- Work with internal and external parties to execute and analyze campaigns, creative tests, and optimizations
- Provide business ownership for tracking and reporting tools - troubleshoot issues and advocate enhancements
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to the management team
- Evaluate new online marketing vendors and technologies
- Conduct industry and competitive analysis
Qualifications
- 4+ years experience, with at least 1-2 years experience within online marketing
- Previous experience analyzing online marketing programs, including SEM, partnerships, and email campaigns
- Previous experience analyzing data from a web analytics tool, such as WebSideStory, WebTrends, LiveStat, CoreMetrics, or Omniture
- Knowledge of SEO techniques a big plus
- Very Strong MS Excel skills
- Ability to write SQL queries and/or experience with Crystal Reports a plus
- Knowledge of HTML, Omniture SiteCatalyst's a plus
- Ability to function comfortably in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, with a proactive "roll up your sleeves" approach to solving problems
- Comfortable presenting recommendations to executives
- Strong attention to detail, with an ability to synthesize large amounts of data while meeting aggressive deadlines
- Bachelor's degree required
