This is an engineering design/statistical analyst role in the Decision Technologies Group at Chase Card Services, directly supporting cross business applications and transaction data analysis. Specifically, this individual will be responsible for design and maintenance of prototype transaction analysis systems operating on 5 years of credit card transaction history as well as the Chase retail banking transaction database.

Additionally, this individual will assist in the development and implementation of predictive models (regression, ARIMA, neural networks, etc.). Specific functional responsibilities include project management, process modeling; forecasting; experimental design; data analysis;internal consulting; proposal development; cost/benefit analysis;operational design; job automation; scheduling; and production support.

Requirements

  • MS degree in a technical field
  • 2-5 Years analytics experience in the financial services industry, preferably with credit/debit cards or retail banking.
  • Expertise in SAS programming, including Base SAS, Macros, and SAS/STAT
  • Experience with very large databases and files (Oracle&DB2 on a Unix platform).
  • Experience in performance tuning and parallel processing.
  • Good SQL and UNIX programming skills
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Evidence of initiative, independence, productivity, and teamwork.
  • Strong oral and written communications highly desired.
  • Business Objects experience desired
