UK gambling group Gala gets SPSS data mining software to analyse customer info

June 15, 2005. Gambling group Gala is looking to ramp up its customer analysis function, six months after hiring MR agency Touchstone Partners to track its bingo and casino brands. Gala has signed a deal with SPSS for the MR software supplier's data mining tool, which will be used to analyse information on around eight million customers. The agreement with SPSS is part of the group's plans to develop and adopt a �tailored marketing� programme, aimed at encouraging more regular visits among specific groups within its customer base.
