Job Description:
The Managing Analyst will support the Director of Marketing
Analytics in applying basic and advanced analytical solutions to
projects as they relate to the prospect and HSN consumer segments.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Use basic and advanced statistical methodologies to describe and model consumer behaviors in a dynamic retail or credit card marketing environment.
- Predictive modeling for retention, reactivation, churn, LTV, upsell/cross-sell, etc
- Ability to translate analytical findings into actionable customer strategies which will have a measurable impact on the business.
- Balance the business need with appropriate level of analytical rigor.
- Assist the Director of Marketing Analytics in creating recommendations to internal and external client teams.
- Responsible for ensuring that quality and timeliness of deliverables meet client expectations.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 3+ years experience applying analytic methods such as regression analysis (OLS, Logit), econometrics, time series, correlation, clustering and basic descriptive statistics to predict and explain consumer buying behavior.
- Demonstrated understanding of database marketing and data mining principles.
- Proficient in the use of SQL, SAS - Enterprise Miner, Excel, Power Point.
- Able to work independently and in teams.
- Proven ability to simultaneously manage large, complex projects in combination with smaller ad hoc requests.
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in statistics, biostatistics, economics, operations research, management science or psychology preferred.
