We have several positions available for Project Connection Machine, an R&D effort to apply techniques of AI and Knowledge Management to locate experts and expertise within a global, 120,000-employee company.

Knowledge Management Research Programmer

Responsibilities:

• Implement and refine web user interface, application workflow, question tracking system and administrative dashboard for web-based expertise locator application.
• Perform code revision to enhance performance. Work closely with the development team to integrate the expertise engine, Lotus Notes interface, web interface and the workflow engine.
• Support the implementation of an unobtrusive and maintainable acquisition and update method for user profiles in application domain.

• BS/MS CS or similar, extensive experience in web application development in a J2EE environment required (BEA Weblogic 8.1.2 server and Web Logic Workshop IDE, JDBC, JMS, JSP, DHTML, Struts, Oracle, under Solaris and Windows).
• Experience in Lotus Notes development or Blackberry API desired.
• Experience in user adaptive knowledge management system development, knowledge representation, and data mining preferred.
