We are pleased to announce the first major update to the second generation of Rule Discovery System - RDS 2.1 - from Compumine (www.compumine.com).

Rule Discovery System has a complete coverage of rule-based predictive modeling methods for both classification and regression and is also distinguished by its user-friendliness. New users are up and running within 15 minutes after installation, without training. This new release includes almost one hundred improvements and new features. Some of the highlights are:

• Complete coverage of rule-learning algorithms, including trees, rule sets and a large variety of ensemble methods. All methods are available for both classification and regression.
• We have introduced a new and innovative method of estimating the overall importance of the variables used in a model. The importance scores can be visualized as bar charts and exported to external programs.
• The graphical user interface includes a large number of graphs and plots, including a highly visual and interactive rule browser, lift charts, ROC curves, scatter grams, etc.
• RDS is very easy to integrate in existing IT-infrastructure in order to make prediction models available to a large number of users.
