Subject: San Francisco, CA: Marketing Analyst, Gap Inc. at GE Consumer Finance

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with both internal & external client team, to understand the brands, marketing programs, communications, and the core customer base.
  • Use understanding of the retail customer, as well as leverage internal customer information and external demographic data to implement and continuously refine the marketing strategy.
  • Define and execute portfolio and program analytics, data pulls, file generation, etc. to support all assigned marketing initiatives.
  • Establish testing strategies and prepare results for in-store promotions, direct mail campaigns, e-mail marketing campaigns, application contests or other marketing efforts.
  • Analyze the portfolio to identify marketing opportunities and segmentation & targeting strategies.
  • Drive process improvement in Customer Relationship Managers (CRM) system to support program execution and reporting/analysis.
  • Manage workflow and on-time delivery of all requests for reports, ad hoc analysis, program results, modeling, targeting and segmentation strategies.
  • Work with Analytic leader to prioritize initiatives and manage expectations.
  • Oversee and partner with India based resource on program execution, back-end analytics & reporting needs to meet client CTQs.
  • Serve as liaison between Accounting Center of Excellence (ACOE) contact & client team and provide direction & support as needed.
  • Act as a statistical and analytic consultant for large-scale initiatives, providing guidance for the design, analysis, & measurement phases of the projects.
  • Develop presentations and program report-outs for marketing campaigns and initiatives including strategic recommendations and cost/benefit analysis and present to the client team.
  • Utilize Six Sigma tools & methods to improve targeting for direct channel campaigns.
Requirements:
  • A relevant Bachelor's degree. Preferred degrees include Mathematics, Statistics, Database Marketing or Quantitative Analysis
  • 3+ years experience in programming including experience in SAS & SQL
  • Platform experience should include UNIX, PC and TSO mainframe
  • Ability to provide "wing to wing" analytic support including pulling data, preparing analysis, interpreting data, making strategic recommendations and presenting to the client
  • Relationship management skills with internal customers and external clients
  • Ability to clearly explain technical and analytical information (verbally, written & in presentation format) and apply/summarize for business use
  • Excellent project management skills with attention to detail
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Client relationship experience
