Subject: Free Software: Meta-analysis with Interactive eXplanations

MIX (Meta-analysis with Interactive eXplanations) provides comprehensive numerical and graphical meta- analysis with educational interactive tutoring.

It is free and especially meant for students, teachers, and researchers with a small budget. Besides analyzing the numerous built-in data sets, one can also enter and analyze one's own data. The first public version was released during the 2005 Cochrane Colloquium in Australia.

It currently works on Windows PCs with Excel 2000 or later (it uses Excel, like an add-in).
