JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary role of the Data Miner is to develop and maintain Mantas scenarios and perform data research and analysis in support of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Operations. More specific responsibilities include:

• Developing Mantas patterns for AML products using various engineering and data mining processes.
• Identifying relevant data elements and derivations required to support Mantas scenarios through scenario prototyping activities.
• Gaining an in-depth knowledge of Mantas to thoroughly understand the interaction between the data mart and other system components.
• Providing ad hoc data mining support to AML Operations.
• Assisting the AML Operations analysts in understanding the alert generation process and provide additional metadata for more efficient alert disposition.
• Using appropriate tools and techniques to analyze a variety of data sources.
• Developing partnership with IT group to provide for more efficient solutions to various data, system, and applications issues.

• Minimum of B.S. degree in technical of mathematical major, preferred.
• Strong data analytical skills.
• Ad hoc prototyping skills using multiple techniques to solve a myriad of business scenarios.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with SQL and other standard database query tools.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQLServer, and Data Marts/Data Warehouses.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to listen effectively.
• Ability to adjust to changing focus and/or priority as well as the ability to successfully multi-task as needed and set priorities as needed.
• Mature, self-starting, self-motivating, and capable of making decisions independently
