[x+1], formerly, Poindexter Systems, the leading provider of online marketing optimization and analytics, has an opening for a Manager, Predictive Modeling & Analytics in our midtown Manhattan office. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in business analysis at a professional organization such as IT consulting or investment banking. The job offers a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of online advertising operations.

Our technology combines predictive modeling with real-time behavioral, demographic and transactional data analysis to optimize our client�s online marketing campaigns, directly improving the effectiveness and value of their online advertising.

The Manager, Predictive Modeling & Analytics is responsible for developing optimization software and analyzing its performance. Our optimization engine consists of multiple simultaneous mathematical models that drive servers delivering billions of targeted ads per month. The successful candidate will have strong mathematical modeling skills, hands-on experience with real-world large-scale data sets and proficiency with computer systems.

Specific duties include:

• Developing features and algorithms for our optimization software
• Developing and maintaining a deep knowledge base of the behavior and performance of our mathematical models
• Delivering status reports that abstract strategic insights from the knowledge base
• Conducting in-depth analyses to explain variances

• MS in operations research, statistics, engineering, economics or other quantitative subjects
• At least 2 years of full-time work experience including hands-on data analysis
• Proficient in SAS
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including macros/VBA) and PowerPoint
• An introductory course in statistics, or equivalent work experience
• Computer programming experience
