The Twelfth ACM SIGKDD International Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining will take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA from August 20 through 23, 2006

ACM/SIGKDD members ought to act NOW to save $225 on their registration expenses and sign up no later than July 14. Others who register later will be faced with an increase of $100 or more in registration fees.

KDD is the premier international meeting on knowledge discovery and data mining. The conference provides a forum for academic researchers, industry and government innovators to share their results and experiences. The 2006 program includes the best of research track and industrial paper presentations, implemented software demos, posters, workshops, and tutorials followed by the esteemed KDD Cup competition.

KDD Cup

  • This year's competition is chaired by Dr Terran Lane, Univ of New Mexico. The challenge is to analyze 3-D computed tomography data collected from medical clinics to identify pulmonary embolisms. All entries are to be submitted July 10-July 17, 2006.
