New KDnuggets Poll is asking:

Can computers make better decisions by mining historical data than humans who rely on intuition ?

The poll was inspired by a recent story (see KDnuggets News 06:n14, item 16) about a Dutch sociology professor, Chris Snijders of the Eindhoven University of Technology, who was studying the routine decisions that managers make. He is convinced that computer models, by and large, can do a better job of it. He even issued a challenge late last year to any company willing to pit its humans against his algorithms.
