KXEN Extreme Data Mining Wins User and Analyst Praise

08-12-2006, A 3M increase in sales, a 12x gain in efficiency and unmatched levels of productivity were among achievements cited by users and analysts for the KXEN suite of data mining tools at the company's two user group meetings in the US and Europe.

The accolades came from more than 65 major telecommunications, banking, utility and retail companies and from three international analyst firms attending user events in San Francisco and Paris. They included eBay, Lowes, Wells Fargo, E.ON and Vodafone together with Gartner, IDC and Bloor Research and Alterian (LSE: ALN), Microstrategy (NASDAQ: MSTR), and Teradata, a division of NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR).

In Paris head of CRM at the UK retail arm of energy company E.ON Mark Perrett revealed that a single direct mail analytical model built using KXEN's software was set to: "deliver a 3M incremental contribution over the next 12 months."

Similarly Belgium's largest fixed/mobile telecom operator Belgacom reported a huge improvement in model building efficiency since adopting KXEN. "We needed an efficient tool with very good predictive performance, which could minimise our modeling time, and which had a direct link to Teradata," said Frdric Binon, Marketing Expert Manager. "KXEN is a perfect fit."

In San Francisco Derek Pollitt, director of campaign management and customer knowledge at Canada's largest mobile operator, Rogers Wireless, told industry peers how KXEN was helping meet competitive challenges. "KXEN lets moderately skilled employees build good quality models at least seven times quicker, and which comfortably outperform models built by specialist third parties. And by using more customer knowledge we can bring together the what, who and when of customer interaction and manage it across multiple channels."
